Parliament voted the creation of the Ministry of E-Governance
Parliament adopted today on a second vote on the amendment and supplement of the Electronic Governance Act (ZEU) to establish the Ministry of E-Governance. There is a decree of President Rumen Radev for the promulgation of Zeu in the State Gazette. The law enters into force on the day of its publication.
"We will build a new vision of working e-government, at a very different political level. In our face there is political leadership about the introduction and effective implementation of E-management policy in Bulgaria," said Minister Bozhidar Bozhinov after the law of law. "From now on responsibility is great, expectations are huge, I believe we will justify them. There is a lot of work and I hope to have good results to boast," the minister added.
The Amendments adopted by MPs and Additions to Zeu shall close the State Agency "Electronic Governance" at the Council of Ministers, all powers be entrusted to the Minister of E-Governance. Liquidation Commission set up by the Council of Ministers within three months from the entry into force of Ze will arrange for relations related to the closure, including the assets, liabilities, registers, databases, archive, other rights and obligations of the indoor agency as well as regulates employees' work and employment relationships. The relations of the Chairperson and the Vice-Presidents of Daeu shall be terminated from the date of entry into force of the law. Until alignment with this law of the MEW Rules of Procedure, the powers of the Minister of Transport and Communications in the field of information technology will be implemented by the previous order.
