        Municipality of Slivo pole

Municipality of Slivo Pole - Attractive Municipality of the Danube area with well-developed agriculture, based on implemented modern technologies

modern communications and good infrastructure, a preserved natural and cultural heritage linking the potential of local resources for sustainable, inclusive and smart growth.

Municipality of Slivo Pole - a lovely piece of the mosaic of our beautiful country - conveniently situated to the east of the Bulgarian Danube pearl Ruse: with its 276 km2 from the fertile green Danube plain; at the same time on the main road Ruse-Silistra but also enchanting with the immense beauty of the wheat, heavy with grains, swung by the summer breeze, alternating with proud forests of deciduous trees, and cut from the north by the slowly and majestically striking silver strip, woven from the strong Danube waters, flowing life and fertility into this wonderful place.

Each of the 11 settlements has its own spirit, carried on the wings of century-old history, still hiding many unseen secrets. Together with the cultural and historical monuments of the last centuries, for which there are authentic documents and undeniable data, there are also unexplored archaeological monuments, where legends and traditions take place - Thracian mounds in Babovo and Kosharna, ancient Roman city of Apiaria in Ryahovo, traces of the Eneolithic Age.

Exclusive interest in the field of alternative tourism is the Kalimok-Brashlen Protected Area, part of which falls within the territory of the Municipality of Slivo Pole. The rich diversity of the animal world represented by 230 species of birds, representing 58% of the birds in Bulgaria, reptiles, amphibians and mammals, rare, endangered and disappearing species - registered in the Red Book of Bulgaria are preserved.
