Slatina is the county seat of Olt County, Muntenia, Romania, consisting of the localities Cireaşov and Slatina (residence). The city is located in southern Romania, on the left bank of the Olt River in the historical region - Oltenia, on the contact area between the Getic Plateau and the Romanian Plain. Slatina has a population of 70,293 thousand inhabitants, being an important industrial center. With a history of 650 years and a preserved historical center, the town has an important cultural role in the county. The town's emblem is the bridge across the Olt River.
